If God loves us so much, then why does He let us die?

That's a question we all might have. Why does God let us die?
So let's understand what death is. The bible says that the wages of sin is death.(Romans 6:23) Death is the result of our sins. Since we are all sinful and not perfect, we all die. But when we look at the Bible, we understand that God has put eternity in the hearts of every person. (That's one reason why we have this question now!)
In the Christian perspective, by death we don't simply cease to exist - but we go onto spend our eternity in heaven or hell. Where we spend it, depends on how we live our lives here. The world we are in now, is tarnished by sin. For a Christian, to seek to live here forever without dying is to miss the whole point - because God created us for eternity with God in heaven. The life we live here is a short but significant period where our love for God is tested. When Christ died on the Cross as a result of our sins, He defeated death.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
For a Christian, death is not the end, but only the beginning of a wonderful forever with God. That's why Apostle Paul said - "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." I hope we don't miss sight of the wonderful future with God, but learn to live with an eternal focus. That is a hope, that even something as bad as death cannot take away! Praise God for that!
