Can a Christian believe in science? Can we believe in the basic scientific laws?

So, let's begin with a question - what is science?
It simply means knowledge. So should we not believe in knowledge? As a Christian it is very important for us to understand that science is not our enemy. Science is possible in this universe because the Creator God made all of what we see around us in perfect order.
Here is a small passage from Answers in Genesis. "The ability to study the world around us is only reasonable because there is a Lawgiver who established the laws of nature. Most people do not realize that modern science was founded by men who believed that nature can be studied because it follows the laws given to it by the Lawgiver. Johannes Kepler, one of the founders of astronomy, said that science was “thinking God’s thoughts after Him.” Many founders of scientific disciplines, such as Bacon, Newton, Kepler, Galileo, Pascal, Boyle, Dalton, Linnaeus, Mendel, Maxwell, and Kelvin were Bible-believing Christians. As a matter of fact, the most discerning historians and philosophers of science have recognized that the very existence of modern science had its origins in a culture at least nominally committed to a biblical worldview."
But having said that it is very important for us to remember a few things.
1. The Bible is the eternal word of God.
2. While we look and study the creation, don't keep the Creator out. God loves it when we are exploring His creation and are able to be amazed at its beauty. Start with God and stay with God.
3. Be truthful and sincere in your search for evidences.
4. Everything scientists say needn't be science. Again, check if it actually makes sense.
5. Don't be puffed up with knowledge to think we are wiser than God. He is much wiser than we are - and some things will definitely take us time to understand or may never understand.

A Christian does not need to reject science completely - but can definitely use science to study more about the creation and thus understand about the Creator's awesomeness! You can refer to the resources below for more understanding.
